Bain Outsourcing Under Romney? Nope. Check Your Facts, Mr. President...

By this point, we shouldn't be surprised by either the quantity or quality of lies that spew forth from the Obama campaign and the president himself (feign shock here).  Too much untruth is being overlooked and allowed, and frankly, I'm over it. Case-in-point, Obama's new anti-Romney/anti-Bain ad:




“The Washington Post has just revealed that Romney's companies were pioneers in shipping US jobs overseas. Investing in firms that 'specialized in relocating jobs done by American workers to new facilities in low-wage countries like China and India.’ Does Virginia really want an Outsourcer-In-Chief in the White 
House?”
Then there's this from President Obama during a campaign speech: “Today, it was reported in The Washington Post that the companies his firm owned were ‘pioneers’ in the outsourcing of American jobs to places like China and India – pioneers! Tampa, we do not need an outsourcing pioneer in the Oval Office.…”


Um....no. No, no, no, no, no. And no. Not in answer to his question; in response to his claims.


It clearly doesn't matter that the Washington Post itself gave Obama 4 Pinocchios for his ads and speeches referring to their story. He and his campaign are hell-bent on making Romney look evil for having anything to do with a corporation that only did what it was hired to do... cut costs and increase revenue. The ONLY alternative to producing revenue is LOSING revenue. Obviously that doesn't keep a company in business, though our federal government has yet to grasp such a crazy concept. The companies to whom WAPo referred did NOT outsource jobs under Bain's direction. To the contrary, they produced MORE American jobs and increased both production AND revenue. Oh, did I mention all those companies provided signed statements disproving what WAPo and Obama claim? Yeah, you're gonna wanna click on that.

Bottom line is this. Some people take issue with equity firms like Bain because sometimes when companies are encouraged to cut costs, payroll is one of the areas that suffer. The flip side is that many times other areas are cut just so payroll WON'T suffer, and many times companies are able to create new jobs based on increased production and revenue. The big picture is that if many of these companies continue operating as they always have and don't act on the suggestions of seasoned professionals, it very may well end in the entire company going belly-up, at which point ALL employees lose their jobs. Bain's operations are not illegal or unethical, and if we sit back and take a look at all the jobs lost in America under Obama's presidency and all the jobs that have been sent overseas during his first three years, Romney and Bain look  golden. 



It's unfortunate that President Obama can't run on his own record and therefore has to grasp at straws to paint an ugly picture of his opponent. That should be the ONLY thing the Romney campaign should have to say.... but for whatever reason, it seems like Mitt may have dropped off the face of the Earth. His campaign's lackluster response to Obama's lies makes me want to punch myself, but I'm still putting my money on the successful businessman who DID improve his state's economy, DOES have a record of job creation, and DID balance Massachusetts's whacked-out budget immediately when he became governor and produced a balanced budget every year thereafter over our current failure-in-chief. You're totally welcome to join me (If you're smart, you will.).

ERMAHGERD! Stop. The. Presses! I Totally Agree With Harry Reid!

No, really. I do. (It's ok....breathe.....breathe.......breathe..........)

Who on Earth came up with the brilliant idea to have our United States Olympic Team Uniforms MADE IN CHINA??????  Don't get me wrong.... I lurrrrv me some Ralph Lauren all day, any day, but come on.

Really?
China?
Right now?
Blehhh. Lame.

Sir Harry thought so, too. He had this to say:  “I am so upset,” the Nevada Democrat told reporters Thursday. “I think the Olympic Committee should be ashamed of themselves. I think they should be embarrassed. I think they should take all the uniforms and put them in a big pile and burn them and start all over again.”


I totally agree. Though I'd burn them twice. Once because they were made in China and then again because they look like creepy youth-bot [insert favorite "-ist" regime here] uniforms, complete with beret a la Che Guevara. Tres Orwellian Chic!

I digress... So anyway, kudos to Senator Reid! Not just for calling out the Olympic committee, but for keeping American minds focused on anything other than the state of our nation and the failures of the current administration by bringing this to our attention! I see what you did there, Hare-Bear! Keep up the good work!

If Republicans Talked Like Democrats..... Minority Unemployment

The latest numbers released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that while the overall rate of unemployment is 8.2%, unemployment for African-Americans is 14.4% and for Hispanics is 11%. Additionally, unemployment for teenagers is 23%.

If Republicans talked like Democrats....... President Obama hates black people. And Hispanic people. And teenagers.

I am completely obsessed with creating memes and graphics since discovering facts (and sarcasm) are more easily understood by a large portion of our population when in a format decipherable by a six year old. Sooo, this is me sharing them with you. Some may make you want to punch yourself in the face, so... sorry for that.

Someone Skipped Math Class At Harvard.... June 2012 Unemployment Numbers

Let's talk numbers. Unemployment ones. I mean, we all know the private sector is doing just fine.....which is why it produced exactly 1,000 jobs less than the number of people who went on disability last month.... 84,000 and 85,000 respectively. Seriously?  Why is Mitt Romney not destroying Obama in the polls?  Why haven't I seen any ads that highlight the mess of numbers that are our economy and labor force under this guy?? I've seen plenty of Obama ads bashing Romney over (factually incorrect) numbers from Massachusetts under his watch, but COME. ON. MITT! This incumbent is handing you pure gold and you're flushing it down the drain. Uh.......?? It's this simple...

14.4% unemployment among African-Americans (Pretty sure the media would pounce on that one under a Republican administration....)
23.7% unemployment among teens
11% unemployment among Hispanics (Ditto above parenthesis.)
41.9% of the unemployed have been so for over 27 weeks.
766,000 more women unemployed now than when Obama took office (Annnnnd ditto parenthesis. Again.)

Here's the thing. I didn't go to Harvard (or maybe I did and I just sealed every document that pertains to my enrollment), but I know a little bit about math and numbers... And them numbers ain't good.

Come on, America. This is serious. Bring. on. the. CHANGE, y'all!
